چکیده
Abstract A crawler system provides much larger ground contact, leading to excellent terrain adaptability. Due its structural characteristics, high‐frequency vibration proportional the vehicle speed is generated during driving process. This a result of polygon and rolling effects between track wheels. field test tracked performed monitor movement signals chassis rocker arm. Their corresponding power spectral density distributions confirm correctness frequency‐calculation equation. Then, novel elastic tensioning device with damper designed as cushion idler chassis. Depending on geometry, equivalent damping coefficient for dynamic model evaluated. Subsequently, altered in response different operating conditions by hybrid fuzzy semiactive control system. The controller accounts both vibration. Based transfer matrix method multibody systems, dynamical developed. Control performances are evaluated using two numerical simulations obstacle crossing off‐road operations. Results indicate that proposed tensioner substantially better than conventional one. paper feasible scheme reduction vehicles.

Visual Odometry for Tracked Vehicles
Localization and mapping on autonomous robots typically requires a good pose estimate, which is hard to acquire if the vehicle is tracked. In this paper we describe a solution to the pose estimation problem by utilizing a consumer-quality camera and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The basic idea is to continuously track salient features with the KLT feature tracker [12] over multiple images...

The motions of planar tracked vehicles are govemed by three force and moment equations, but driven by only two independent control variables. The force equation perpendicular to the tracks represents a d y n a m i c nonholonomic constraint which is explicitly dependent on vehicle speed. It couples path planning with trajectory planning, that is, solving for vehicle kinematic motions requires sp...

In this paper, we present an algorithm for autonomous stair climbing with a tracked vehicle. The proposed method achieves robust performance under real-world conditions, without assuming prior knowledge of the stair geometry, the dynamics of the vehicle’s interaction with the stair surface, or lighting conditions. Our approach relies on fast and accurate estimation of the robot’s heading and it...
متن کاملDynamic contact sensing for articulated tracked vehicles
Articulated tracked vehicles (ATVs) are widely used on applications where terrain conditions are difficult and unpredictable, or the environment may be hazardous for humans [3]. Depending on their mechanical design, these robotic platforms can either increase or decrease the contact area of tracks with the ground, providing better traction on harsh terrains and, on the other hand, energy saving...
